Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 2026.

matt-helps.com is a personal blog about code and tech. No accounts, no database of user data. The privacy story is short.

Access logs

Standard server access logs are presumably kept for a short retention window by the hoster — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, referrer — for operational and security purposes (DDoS protection, abuse mitigation, diagnostics). These logs are held by the hosting provider under their own privacy policy; the site owner does not have a copy.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

The site carries Google AdSense. AdSense sets cookies to serve personalised ads and reports aggregate metrics back to Google. You can review or adjust Google’s personalisation for your account at adssettings.google.com. A cookie-consent banner appears on first visit; declining it blocks AdSense from loading.

No other third-party tracking

  • No login, no newsletter, no comments system.
  • No social-widget scripts (Facebook Like, Twitter share, etc.).
